Casa Fenix - Alta Vista - Marbella

You will discover that the famous Marbella 'micro-climate' (cooler in summer and warmer in winter) ensures that this is a perfect holiday location for you. We are 35 minutes drive from Malaga Airport while the airport coach to Marbella takes about 45 minutes.

La_Concha Sand_Sculpture

Our apartment, with the stunning La Concha mountain forming the back drop and a short distance from the sea, is ideally located for a variety of activities including golf, walking, scuba diving, surfing, sailing, jet-skiing and much more. The beach is 2k away and we are close to the excellent facilities of Marbella (4k) and Puerto Banús (5.5k).

Click on Google Map or on Map of Area (both links open in new windows) to see where we are and what’s where in the locality.

Shops: Supermarkets (Carrefour and Lidl), pharmacy and cafes/restaurants 1.5k from apartment.

Local bus: Good service available from the main road, 1.5k from the apartment while there is a regular though infrequent service adjacent to apartment.

Marbella Old Town with its lovely narrow streets and popular Orange Square is well worth a visit. You will find many shops, bars, restaurants and clubs there as well as in the more modern areas of Marbella.

Puerto Banús (the 'yuppie' marina area) has lots of shops (including el Corte Ingles), restaurants and clubs as well as the famous marina with many expensive yachts to drool over and, perhaps, a celebrity or two to spot.

Walks:
The seafront ‘prom’ stretches from the east end of Marbella, through the town and continues west, right into Puerto Banús.

North of the apartment is Parque Nagüelles which is beside an adventure camp for kids (the camp, Fuerte Nagüelles, is not open to general public). Beyond the park there are tracks into the hills.

Most of the roads above AltaVista offers really good views, not only of the surrounding countryside and the sea, of Gibraltar and the coast of Africa, but also of some really spectacular villas.

Markets: Most days you’ll find a market somewhere in the region. The nearest are Mon: Marbella town; Thurs: San Pedro; Sat: Puerto Banús.

White villages: For quiet, quaint and unspoilt, choose Ojen (15 mins drive from apartment), Istan (30 mins drive) or Casares (45 mins drive), while busier Mijas (lots of restaurants, souvenir shops, quaint streets) is also about a 30mins drive away. A bit further afield is historic Ronda, (an hour's drive into the mountains) well worth a visit for the drive alone - but beware of the hairpin bends!!

Málaga (Picasso’s birthplace) is a lovely city with galleries (including the Picasso Museum and the house in which Picasso was born), impressive architecture and an interesting old town (Alcazaba castle and Gibralfaro fort worth seeing). Some nice shopping also.

Granada is a two hour drive and the Alhambra is WELL worth a visit. You might find Gibraltar (an hour away) worth visiting for tax-free shopping and sightseeing but don't forget your passport!

Lots of fun places such as Aquamijas Water Park in the area and, of course, golf courses galore! Further information on request and in the apartment.
